Title: Silverstone — Where I Lit the Fire
Coming into Round 2 of the Ginetta Junior Championship at Silverstone, I was locked in. The first race taught me plenty, and this weekend was about one thing — showing the fire I’ve got to fight and win. Experience? Sure, the others might have more of it. But for me, that doesn’t matter. I came here to race.
Qualifying went better this time — not perfect, but a step forward. Cleaned up the mistakes from Round 1 and put it P12 for Race 1, P11 for Race 2. Not where I want to be, but progress is progress.
Race 1, I kept cool, stuck to my lines, and made it count. Fought my way up to P7 overall and P5 in the rookie class. Strong drive, sharp overtakes, and solid pace all the way. It showed how far we’ve come already — and how much more there is in the tank.
Race 2? Not our race. Midway through the pack, fighting hard, I got driven into. Straight to the back. But I didn’t check out — I put my head down and clawed back to P17. That drive says more than the result ever could.
Race 3, we started P17 and made moves from the lights. By the time the safety car came out, I was already knocking on the door of the Top 10. But sometimes this sport doesn’t care how fast you are — I got caught in a collision I couldn’t avoid. Race done, nothing I could’ve done differently.
Bottom line? The results might not shout it, but the speed was there. The fight was there. This weekend, I proved that I’m not just here to learn — I’m here to compete.
