Grinding Through Zandvoort: A Weekend of Progress

Coming into Zandvoort, things looked promising. Testing went great and we had strong pace right from the start, finishing P4 in practice and running close with the championship contenders. I felt confident heading into qualifying, knowing the speed was there.

Unfortunately, the top ten drivers all benefited from slipstream, which put us on the back foot during qualifying. Despite that, we still managed P15 for Race 1 and P14 for Race 2. That meant we’d be starting mid-pack, right in the mix.

Race 1 was intense from the start. Chaos on lap one dropped us down to P19, but we fought hard. The car felt good, and I pushed back through the field, climbing up to P14 by the end. The result didn’t really show how much pace we had, but the fight was solid.

In Race 2, things started better. After lap one we were already up to P11, but an unfortunate collision with another driver sent us back down to P16. I didn’t let it get to me. I stayed focused, went back into the zone, and fought my way forward again to finish P11.

Race 3 was hectic from the lights out. A tough start meant we lost a few spots early on, but I

recovered and crossed the line in P11 before the red flag ended the race early.

Overall, I’m happy with the weekend. The progress was clear, especially mentally. I stayed calm through setbacks and kept fighting every lap. We showed pace, control, and real progress  and that’s what matters most moving forward.
