We went into the weekend full of confidence. Practice went great, ending P5 overall. The grid was tight and everyone was on the limit, so being that high up was a strong start.
Slipstream played a big role in qualifying again. I put together a clean lap, but without a tow it was difficult to match the front-runners. We qualified P15 for Race 1 and P13 for Race 2. Even then, the pace showed that with slipstream we could be much closer to the front.
Race 1 started with a mega launch off the line, straight into the top ten. The opening laps were intense. I fought hard but got caught in battles ahead, which allowed the chasing pack to close in. We finished P16, frustrating because the pace was there.
Race 2 was stopped after a big incident. There is not much to say apart from being glad everyone was alright.
Race 3 started P15 and finished P11. The race was messy, with red flags and interruptions, so we never fully got the chance to show our potential.
Overall, I learned a lot. Brands Hatch is one of those tracks I always dreamed of racing at, so finally doing it felt special. Despite the setbacks, the experience was incredible. We keep pushing.
